About Dr. Huynh

Dr. Kyle Huynh is an ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases of the cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. He grew up in Los Angeles, where he graduated from the University of Southern California. Dr. Huynh obtained his medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine with distinction for his research on dry eyes. He was a national recipient of the prestigious Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship and Hilda E. Drake Scholarship. Dr. Huynh completed his medicine internship at the University of Florida and ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During residency, he traveled to the Vietnam National Institute of Ophthalmology in Hanoi to teach new surgical techniques and foster multi-national partnership with local ophthalmologists. He then continued his training in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at the University of California Irvine, where he learned advanced techniques in cataract surgery, the latest intraocular lens technology, and cornea transplants.

Dr. Huynh specializes in all aspects of comprehensive and corneal ophthalmology, including: standard and complex cataract surgery with insertion of premium intraocular lenses (AMO Tecnis® Toric, Multifocal, and Symfony® extended depth of focus lenses), minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (Glaukos® iStent), pterygium excision, and full- and partial-thickness corneal transplant surgery (DMEK, DSAEK) for vision rehabilitation.

Dr. Huynh is committed to providing evidence-based and patient-focused vision care. He is fluent in Vietnamese and is accepting new patients into his growing practice.

Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. Huynh enjoys swimming, hiking nature trails, and spending time with his family and friends in Ventura County, where he now calls home.
